I.          Approval of Minutes from meeting of November 10, 2005

 Minutes from the November 10, 2005 meeting have been emailed to members and placed on the website. Motion by S.Roth, seconded by J. Trenner, to accept minutes as submitted with a minor spelling correction. Motion carried.

 II.        Treasurer’s Report

The monthly treasure’s report was presented by D. Gearhart on behalf of Treasurer Kathryn Pernet.

 Beginning Balance as of 11-10-05:                                $33,053.50

 Expenses:         $7.40               Stamps

                        $100.00           Costco

Total Expenses: $107.40

 Ending Balance as of 12-08-05:                                    $32,946.10

 Motion by S. Roth, seconded by J. Trenner to accept the Treasurer’s Report as presented. Motion carried.

III.       Correspondence/Announcements

 Monterey County Fire Chiefs Association Awards and Installation Dinner will be held on January 13th at the Seaside Highlands Community Center. RSVP to Kathryn at 899-6790 by January 6th.

IV.       Committee Reports:

A.        ICS Committee

  1. S401 Safety Officer- will be held in the County in February or March. Chief Hawkins from CDF will be the instructor.
  2. Incident Management Team- Further discussion regarding the concept of developing a County Incident Management Team for deployment to major incident that occur within the county. Chief Haines will be assisting in identifying the particulars of such a team. This concept will be presented at the January Operations Committee.
  3. ICS 300/400- will be held during the month of January. Flyer will be coming shortly.

B.         Wildland

Incident Commander Miles Schuler would like to host the first planning meeting for the Wildland School before the regular TO’s meeting in January. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 0930 hours at Pacific Grove. TO’s are seeking a representative from the County Fire Chiefs Association to fill the role of Deputy IC.

C.        Fire Library

Nothing new to report

D.        Programs

Highway Safety: General discussion regarding various aspects of the Highway Safety Guidelines. There was discussion about the status of the project as to the Fire Chiefs final approval and the placement of the document in the Fire Chief’s Manual. This will be further investigated. D.Gearhart indicated that there needed to be a few minor adjustments.

1.      Election of Officers for 2006. Motion was made by S. Roth and seconded by J. Trenner to elect for 2006 President Deano Lindsey, Vice President David Sargenti, Secretary Dan Gearhart.
