Motion was made by Foster, 2nd by Turner to approve the September minutes as posted on the website. Motion Passed.

Nominations for the Ed Bent Training Officer of the Year are due.
Contact President Lindsey if there are any nominations.
i. Roth requested that in addition to the classes mentioned last month (STL/DIV and OPS) he would like to attempt to schedule a Safety Officer class with Mike Bryant out of Los Angles. Roth to make the arrangements.
ii.
General discussion on the feasibility of hosting other ICS classes.
Resource and Situation Status classes will be looked into by North County Fire,
Stefani. In addition the group would like to look at hosting a Planning Section
and Logistics Section classes. It was decided that the prerequisites for each of
these should be conducted prior to offering those classes.
i.
Highway Safety: Nothing further to report. The group suggested that
President Lindsey draft a letter to the Fire Chiefs for direction with regards
to the Law Enforcement side of the program. General discussion regarding the
implementation of the program followed.
i. Vehicle Extrication class will be offered in Moss Landing on December 3rd and 4th. This is a free class to all participants. Flyer will follow. ii. A class will soon be offered by LN Curtis regarding use of TIC. No further information available.
iii.
EMS Liaison Report- Westmed was the main topic of discussion. There
will be a collaborative effort to standardize agreements for ambulance personnel
while they are at fire stations. Salinas Fire is working on a draft. General
Discussion occurred regarding the Westmed contract.
i. On November 28th, Salinas Fire will have the North Tree Fire Simulator at their Station 3 for some live fire training. Turner invited all departments that have personnel interested in participating in this training to contact him with the number of persons. Turner explained that they are anticipating time in the afternoon to accommodate other departments.
