 Meeting called to order at 1040 hours by President Deano Lindsey

I.            Approval of Minutes:

Motion to accept E-mail version of minutes by D. Gearhart, second by M. Schuler, Motion passed

                          II.                  Treasury Report: Polly provided Secretary Urquides the treasury report via fax. The  balance for the MPC fire academy was $8,456.84 and the MCFTO was $33,306.16  The ending balance total for the MCFTO was $41,763.00 

III.                  Correspondence/Announcements: President Lindsey read a letter from Polly Fry regarding her request to retire after 14 years of being the official TO’s bookkeeper… After many tears were shed it was requested that President Lindsey meet with Polly and see if we can renegotiate her duties and fees. 

IV.                IV.            Committee Reports:

None to report

A.      ICS: Let JT know if there is any classes in demand…Possible Safety Officer

B.     Wild land:  Site visit is May 26th leave from Chualar station at 7:30 am…After the site visit the drop date will soon follow if it is to wet… Training will also be conducted for command staff on May 26th 2005.

C.     Fire Library:

Through the lock still needs to be bought. .

 D.     Programs:

                   Highway Safety  SOG was taken to the last Chiefs mtg. It Is out for Departmental review.

E.     Training and Standards: None

F.      Web site. Secretary Urquides will send minutes to the web site for anybody to read. In addition M. Urquides made a motion to host the Training JPA web calendar on the To’s web site. Second by JT Motion passed. Will forward link to web master.

G.    Charity Fundraiser / Golf Tournament: Will have a flyer by July meeting.

      V.            Old Business:

EMS Dave Craddock spoke about the EMS liaison committee’s roles and responsibilities and that they are working on the Exposure control plan with County EMS. In addition the New Chiefs triage tags are out and approved in California.  Monterey County needs to get a uniform tag, and training so we can make the transition.  Back boards will distributed based on the County Fire Chiefs procedure.

    VI.            New Business: 

 August Salinas Fire will be hosting a new-hire academy for possible 19 new FF’s Sid was soliciting some input on funding for there tower. In addition the North Tree fire trailer will be available to run some depts.. Firefighters through when it’s in Salinas. Please send Sid an email if you would like further information.

VII.               Good of the Order:

ARW 160 ODP train-the-trainer class is June 1st and 2nd in Seaside. Call Bertha Simpson 796-1904 for further information. Fully reimbursable through Homeland Security.

Any department that wants to update from Monterey County 1st Responder to EMT…. Do it before Jan 2006. After this Jan 2006 Monterey County will have no mechanism in place to provide National Registry EMT for Local Monterey County 1st Responders without going through the whole course.
