Dougherty Fort Hunter Liggett II. Approval of Minutes: Review of the minutes from the meeting of February 14, 2008 hosted by the Pacific Grove Fire Department and recorded by Doug McCoun. III. Treasurer’s Report: The monthly Treasurer’s Report was presented by Dan Gearhart on behalf of the bookkeeper Kathryn Pernet. Beginning Checking Account Balance as of 3-1-08: 31,443.00 Expenses: Redshift Internet Services 19.95 James Calandra – Legal Expenses (Taxes 2007) 448.75 Franchise Tax Board (Tax Exempt Fee) 50.00 Aromas Fire Fighters (Strike Team Leader) 400.00 Marc Silva – Reimbursement for overpayment 50.00 Aromas Fire Fighters (S-270) 350.00 Total Expenses: $1,318.70 Income: Total Income: $ 00.0
Checking Account Balance as of 2-29-08: $24,635.22 Certificate of Deposit: 6,807.78 Total Assets: $31,443.00 Treasurer’s Report was approved as presented. Motion carried. IV. Correspondence: 1. No correspondence V. Committee Reports: A. ICS: Stewart Roth advised that this year they have held an S-270, Plans Chiefs and a Fire Line EMT class so far. B. Wildland Committee: The Wildland Fire School will have 6 engine branches, 1 Dozer Branch. No request for the TO’s at this time. The wildland committee will be presenting a budget request at the next meeting. C. Fire Library: Seven departments have used the fire library last year. It cost $2,000.00 per year. So far the most used item is the EMT content. After a discussion on the worth of the fire library, a consensus was reached that the Library needs to be updated and all the old content purged. Sargenti will put out a list of content for people to review. He will also accept help from people willing to help purge old content. A motion by Dan Gearhart and seconded by Stewart Roth was for Cal Fire Districts to be consolidated and only be charged one $200.00 fee for Fire Library access. Motion carried unanimously. D. Programs:

X:Joe Pastore will hold a meeting on March 24th. They will change the class
from a 3 day to a 2 day class. Speed

Sargenti will arrange the portable toilets. It was noted that each department
that sent people to the train the trainer

The class will be held on May 12th through the 16th at the
College of Law in class room #2. So far only 14
Website: Doug and Dan are working on the Web Site. They have talked to
various venders about design and cost.
A Motion
made by Dave Sargenti and seconded by Dave Brown was to approve $1,000.00 for
Web design.
Motion
made to Give Mike Ventimiglia a Plaque and a $300.00 gift certificate
recognizing all the hard work he has done for
State Fire Academy/MPC: Natalie reported that construction may start mid
summer. She is looking for input for the design Wellness and Fitness: Class is full. The Local unions are taking care of logistics. VI. Old Business 1. Movement Drill. The drill is scheduled for April 24th. North County is the IC. VII. New Business: VIII. Good of the Order: 1. Stewart Roth advised that he will send a email to the chiefs asking that the swearing in of new officers be included in the annual awards banquet. IX. Adjournment: 1. Meeting adjourned at 12:00
